Success

My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and talents.  ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Give space for time and patience to work in your life.

 Good mawning...

Give space for time and patience to work in your life.
I've been sitting on asking dear friends around me to wait... they have decided what they want to do even asking me for input a while back and half of them have already decided to go their own way.
They wanted to be patient and persevering, but they couldn't hold out any longer.
I get it. There are things running through our minds and hearts that are more insistent and uncomfortable to sit with. There are pressures and opinions from all sides telling you this and that...
For me right now it is growing my coaching and mentoring practice. When you are in the "field" of personal growth you will have many around you in the business of helping others fast track their business and success. It's awesome knowing that you have multiple options and resources around you to experience the result you want in life.
But for years my focus was on the result and building what others wanted me to build. But one thing stood out for me in those requests and suggestions...they could see the result and the outcome, but weren't describing ME being a part of that picture.
The goal was achieved! Yes! The number on the scale was hit! Great! My validation was satisfied and being right was proven! Awesome! But am I in the picture...
Now what? Now you have an achievement. Now you have a number. Now you have extra money. Now there are people saying the same story of "being justified and right" sitting around you.
Now what?
Giving more time to sit with your vision for your WHOLE journey and seeing how the bigger picture you are in looks like opens up more clarity...more focus...more sustainable and long term options. And it gives time for those better options to show up. The little extra bit of patience can bring that understanding and clarity in a more graceful and gentle way. Experience is a great teacher. Shortcuts may get you there faster...instant gratification doesn't come with the gift of growth and building resilience that playing the long game does.
Patience has you putting in the simple and consistent foundation (on more solid rock) that you can build a life that will last. What you build in haste is not the same as what you build with mindful consideration.
I'm not chasing the shiny objects...I'm not building on sand... I'm not building a straw house when I live near the tundra... I'm not rushing in if I am being driven by fear...
I've been there. That's how hurt comes and going through boxes of bandages to patch up the wounds from rushing in.
I'm growing, I'm learning, I'm applying, I'm building...and I am committed to playing a long game.
If you are interested in my coaching or mentoring or just have questions, ask me. Send me a message.
