Success

My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and talents.  ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Taking yourself a little more seriously.

 Good mawning!

Taking yourself a little more seriously.

This week I have been reminded of changes I made YEARS ago!

Back then I would have said I was being stubborn...NOT wanting to listen to the suggestion of someone who gave me a tip for my health.

I was in the experience of MULTIPLE migraines and headaches a week. And I often felt nauseous when I ate certain foods.

After being diagnosed as having a hypersensitivity to chlorine, I took SOME of the doctor's advice and reduced my pool time (I was on the swim team) and showers. But it wasn't until YEARS later I applied the last tip around using filtered water.

When I finally tried out a friends suggestion, I noticed the impact right away, but I can still remember how I dismissed it first.

"It couldn't be making that much of a difference, could it...?"

But it wasn't until I was SICK of feeling sick that I finally asked myself a question that helped shift me going forward...

"But what if it does help?"

So I tried it. And not just one time with a heart full of doubt. I gave myself 3 months inside the experiment and observations to see improvements in my health... and also "testing" with my rebellious nature and seeing the difference.

After those 3 months, I started looking for others super simple things I was in the habit of overlooking that I could "upgrade".

But it wasn't about the upgrade. I was about me. How many ways was I "dismissing" myself and my well-being? How was I continuing to NOT love myself more to love my own health and vitality? How was I letting limits and old beliefs keep me FROM the life I wanted to be living?

MORE serious....more honest with myself and more loving TOWARD myself. Not too serious, but just enough.

My wellness matters.

MY wellness matters!! And so does yours. And I can see it on the "faces" and in the eyes of those around me.

I wake up EACH day will my first thought toward feeling good...or at least better. I am already "there" great. Let me USE that vitality in my day.

How do you take more steps toward your well-being?

Whatever the step, keep it simple to start.

Ways that I show myself LOVE!

 Good mawning!

Ways that I show myself LOVE!💖

FILTERED water!

It's a Non-negotiable for me. I try not to compromise on this for many reasons and after almost 16 years of my body enjoying non-chlorinated water first thing in the morning, I am grateful when I feel the hydration settling in after a good night's sleep.

I used to hate drinking water. Because I always got a huge headache after drinking it. Then I was informed that it might be the chemicals in it I am reacting to and I should filter my water first. And THAT made a huge difference.

Lately I haven't been sleeping as well after a personal loss, and it has been impacting the quality of my energy, performance, and my health. Just over a week made a huge difference. It has felt like the longest week ever!

So back to basics. And the basic part is being in the STATE of love and gratitude AS Iam doing things, and this morning it's drinking and SAVOURING my morning lemon water.

How about you?

What's a way that you show yourself love?

Your presence is noticed

 Good mawning!

A friend of mine posted this pic of a puzzle that they had finished.
In their post they noted that there are pieces missing.
I noticed the impact that even just one of those missing puzzle pieces made to the bigger picture.
And it reminded me... of the value each of us has in THIS life, here and now.
So, know that your presence is important and noticed in this "picture" of life we are living.
You are valued, impactful, and seen.
Much love to you all, my fellow "pieces". 💖

Don't be afraid to dream big and keep it that way.

 Good mawning!

It's been a while! New Year with new things out the gate that shifted MANY things going forward.
I am sharing transparently in hopes that maybe you can glean from my journey.
Back in October, I had to shift gears. I could "see" ahead and saw that what I really wanted in the end wasn't being nurtured on the road that had "fallen under my feet".
Have you ever found yourself trying to find ways to cope in a circumstance you didn't see coming?
The "coping" for me while trying to get my footing was NOT aligned with the vision I had or the goals I was working on.
So both the circumstance and the "coping" had to stop. And in came new standards and boundaries as well as reestablishing core values which put me back on track with my BIG vision. That vision that I hold keeps my best interests in mind as well as those around me...
With all that said, checking in with your ultimate vision , goal, and outcome for your life is where to start.
Don't be afraid to dream big and keep it that way.
And then from there, break it down in both manageable AND scalable steps. How can you make it a bit better or a bit "bigger" each day in your life?
And if something seems to big still, scale it back to the super simple. It's WAY easier to build "momentum" and drive from that space.
And... the key building block I attend to first is.... SLEEP schedule.
It has made a WORLD of difference.
...but I will share more about that in another post. 😉👍
