Reflecting on the gifts that grow. Earth Day 2017

Good morning! It's Earth Day! And the day I celebrate being gifted with the ownership of a bigger garden. 8 years ago, our realtor praised God for the miracle of us being able to pull off finally owning a house. 5+ offers that went to bidding wars... us feeling done and defeated. ..it became a story of accomplishing the impossible...watching amazing faith turn into fruition...and the fulfillment of prayer. What a great journey. ..what beautiful refinement. ..and what a great reminder to go all in wholeheartedly and see even better presented for you to receive. We'll head out for a walk later, but for now we'll reflect on the gifts that grow

Watch the art of being busy. It can still be procrastinating

WOW! I got all the laundry washed, dishes washed and put away, worked on business (oops, need to call accountant), touched base with my family, did some writing and some painting prep, and I know....that I am STILL procrastinating. Okay, here we go!

I value experience

I get it... "badges" of honour. Crow's feet (I like crows and ravens), body aches, health challenges, wrinkles, etc., etc. Signs that are associated with having "lived" a number of years. As many of you know, I don't prescribe to that...at ALL! HAHA, most times I don't remember my age...I don't need to!! My friends vary in age from 2 years of age (oh wait, he's actually one, but very "mature for his age" LOL ) all the way to 75 as one of my "besties". What do we have in common those who are near and dear? We are focused on growing, learning, and being at our best...so I love celebrating continued opportunity to experience in this thing called life, but good luck trying to call me "old" LMBO...

😂😂😂

Crunch time prep

Good morning! I think I have managed to do a little bit of everything today before I crunch in on one this weekend and let the others fly LOL. Good thing I have boys that can handle the shift

😉

Black bean noodles for the win

Lunch for today (well, second "breakfast " for me, lunch for everyone else ) Black bean noodles with asparagus, mushroom, artichokes, carrots, and kale. #veganglutenfree #ThriveLife #saleonnow #stockingup

Chickens be clucking hard this morning

WOW!! Sounds like the chickens are laying huge eggs! OUCH! Glad I got to listen to the morning chorus from the songbirds before the ladies woke up LOL. Better go check if they are okay LOL.

🤣🤣

Be kind and honest...to yourself

Good morning! HA! Still chewing on something I read this morning...still digesting something my son shared with me about my "recovery" from an MVA....It is good to give ourselves an honest look...and there is something to be said for one who can help someone in celebrating and lovingly connecting with who they are .... grateful for how gracefully gratitude and light was share with me this morning.

"Others" make the picture more vast.

Good morning! I enjoy experiencing the witnessing of different perspectives. Why? Because I know there is a bigger picture unfolding "out" there in this thing called Life that we are in... and without you and your "unique" viewpoint, this picture just doesn't seem to be filled in as full. LOL, or so I would like to believe...I'm sure I could fill it up with all kinds of stuff, but I really enjoy how "others" make the picture more vast and wondrous to enjoy

Opps, it's a bit "cajun"! For the love of mastery!

I shared a story of inspiration in life on facebook this morning. My heart is still full from being put back in the moment as it was happening. I truly believe that...the gifts of experience and the treasures hidden in our pasts are meant to be gems in our present and future living. Enjoy the story ❤

Good morning! ❤ I cooked one side of an omlette for my hubby a lil "crispy" this morning. Well done eggs at least And then I was transported to a memory of having gone out to breakfast when my grandpapa was here visiting from NY. The server brought my dad a stacked plate of pancakes. Well loaded with all the fixings. My grandpapa was sharing his tip for perfectly brewed coffee and how to take the bitterness off (add a small pinch of salt to the bottom of the pot as it brews). As my dad went to cut into the stack, he couldn't get through. His laughter in that moment still inspires me. He knew exactly why. His face read like a book. Both when they brought the well dressed stack and when he tried to cut into it.
You see, my dad LOVED to cook. He is a gourmet. He worked with cruise ships and some time in New Orleans. And his main contract as a decorator was with top hotels and a restaurant business. He prided himself in living in mastery...
So he knew the pancakes were burnt on one side. He called the server over and shared a story....that story lead into the reason why it's not good to hide your "shortcomings" and how it is better to desire to share the best of your choices and work.
LOL he got an even bigger, fluffier, stack of fresh pancakes brought out.
I didn't burn the omlette that bad LOL.... I did put the "burnt" side to the middle...and I am extremely grateful to be continuing on the "teachings" from the mundane, the playfulness in mastery, and the heart of hidden treasures.

Let's remain kind to humanity

Good morning! Maybe it's just been a challenging month or two....maybe the words have finally found their way to the tip of my tongue....maybe the weight of implications have final formed a clearer image in....reflection...

Wow...being called on by the number you have pulled or been assigned. In school I remember the angst of someone being referred to by number instead of by name...to strip away your humanity...and then to wish them the same.
To insist on the continuance of lashing another with heavy disdain that you yourself would loathe to receive and would possibly break under....it's like looking at your own reflection in the mirror and screaming profanities and threats against life into your very own eyes.
Again, maybe I am just being sensitive, and I choose to #Lovefirst
