Success

My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and talents.  ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Have you made space to “house” God within?

 Good mawning!

Have you made space to “house” God within?

As my son and I were reading through different translations and transliterations of the Lord’s Prayer, we saw how in more “direct” translations that it really speaks to creating a space within us in which God resides.

However, in that thought, I was put back to the beginning of last week where I stepped back in to the task of owning responsibility for care of the kitchen. It was my space now and I set to work rearranging the space and scrubbing it a little extra, putting things into a new home and space.

Have you ever moved into a new to you space that was previously lived in by someone else? Even through the space could be all cleaned and freshly renovated, I have seen time and time again how people will move in and make it their own.

Have you ever done that? Move into a space and personalize it to your liking?

Well, here I was this morning, imagining God moving in and doing the same within my heart space. Making it personal WHILE giving the pieces that are there a new and more relevant home within. Brightening things up, organizing, dusting, vacuuming, bagging and boxing “items” to go out with the trash…

Would you be willing to have that experience? That all things were brought to light, sorted through, and even rehomed in your heart space?

The good news is, there is no judgment in that experience (except our own). It’s purely with acceptance as well as acknowledgment. It’s a collab experience. No rushing you through to get it “done”. Pure patience, love, compassion, and understanding. Even reverence that you accepted to be in the relationship consciously with God in the first place.

…And that was just the BEGINNING of the prayer LOL.

I just had to pause and share this insight with you all. I can feel the lightness of its pondering shining from within already LOL (LOL like the smell of cleaner wafting through the space haha).

Back to our devo.

simply enjoying just BEING 'me'

 Good mawning!

"Nothing that came before this moment 'matters' because this was what I had wanted all along..."

Appreciation... celebration... all while simply enjoying just BEING 'me' (whatever that means). 😉

I KNOW what it means. Even better yet, I know what 'it' feels like.

The 'Me' part.

Throughout many labels and "identities" tried on... it all came back to the same "core" of being. It has the same peace and smile in it...the same depth of breath ❤)

I walked into a new decision for myself and my life and physically, adjustments had already been made. The rate of acclimating and integration right now requires in the moment presence.

A new 'year/season' and I am really feeling the rejuvenating vibe of it all. And I AM ready❤

(Thank you for the blessings and birthday wishes. Very much appreciated and I will respond to and bless each one 🤗👍).

Birthday weekend brunch

Thanks to my family for the lovely b-day weekend brunch. Simple pancakes.

Egg-free version for me. (Among the other aspects of "free-ness" 😉)
It really is the little things that add up to making a big difference. Find that one little thing and encourage with it wholeheartedly.
It's the secret sauce...seeing another in THEIR journey and celebrating with it.
A day filled with the "littles"... is a beautiful thing. ❤

Your habits will determine your future

"Your habits will determine your future" ~ Jack Canfield

In whatever direction as well... either towards a desired goal ot in the direction of an expected outcome.
We habitualize expectations. We habitualize opinions. We habitualize choices and preferences. We habitualize the way we drive home. We habitualize foods we like. We habitualize how we socialize. We habitualize how we choose NOT to do something. We habitualize how we move our body, do facial expressions, and even how we sleep and wake each day.
I have referred to myself as an observer...and observations often need the strength in practice of focus to narrow in forward progression. It's something I am constantly practicing...to establish a "habitualized" pattern of action or response in my behaviour that takes me in the direction of my choosing.
What areas in your life do you notice habits you would like to change?

Share in the journey and experiences of others

 Good mawning!

It's choice!
To share in the journey and experiences of others and for others to get the opportunity to share in how you are experiencing life.
This was out to dinner with family this weekend...celebrating a milestone and life. My dad's 70th.
I saw the perseverance, hope, and personal journey. I saw the celebrating of the journey of mastery. We sang at the top of our lungs to the radio in the car while he was driving. We danced often. We have philosophical talks to this day that now my boys get to witness.
And it's true, I am A LOT like my dad. I embrace much of how I experience life as a fruit of his influence in my life.
And I am sharing the fullness of all the moments with my family and those around me.
Let's choose to endure, savour, hope, and celebrate in this life...and share it with others❤

Family traditions. Making an apple cake for my dad's birthday

 Good mawning!

I apologize to the part of myself that said she wanted to be ready in a certain look and body tone for her upcoming birthday.
But with this year's newest "test kitchen" creation evolution, I will just choose to workout more and recover smart 😎
I present... Spiced Banana bread apple cobbler!🍂🍁❤
It's apple pie without pie crust...it's "Chef's" signature Banana bread recipe,... it's all the Autumn/holiday spice flavours we enjoy this time of the year... it's addictive. It's not quite sweater weather here, but it's definitely THIS! 😍
It all evolved from making an apple cake for my dad's birthday after picking apples from their backyard.
Now it's an annual tradition that we celebrate in and with each year.

What things have you found became traditions that bring you joy in your life? How do the GOOD things you enjoy and love get better and better?
I just know that I am overflowing with gratitude and enjoying the space of Grace... haha and it's Thanksgiving weekend too!! 🍂🍁
