Thank you not finally!

 Ok, one expression that has been feeling like sandpaper lately is "FINALLY!" Now maybe it was just the source (s) and how they were complaining about their current circumstances that did it, but when someone who is, looking ahead for something to happen AND is grateful (content) in their current situation, I most often hear at the end of the long wait or stretch of perseverance, "Thank you!", not "FINALLY!"
