Dr. as he is stitching my hand back together : (shudders) ooooo, this is pretty bad...
Me in emergency : Yeah? How long have you been a doctor?
Dr: about 20 years... (still shuddering...)
Me: How long in emergency?
Dr.: about 20 years...
Me: So in 20 years you haven't seen anything worse?
Dr: Yes I have. (Pause...) But this is still pretty bad...
Me: (shocked and laughing inside at the same time...and yes, it was)
