The unconditional presence matters. Giving a hug counts

Good morning. It is...as our souls cry out for connection and our egos just desire to be heard...and held like teddy bears. Let's talk about teddy bears....most often given by the giver because there is something about having something to hug (and is cute too). It's often received with a smile...and a careful touch of its texture...and then hugged. We give more it seems to the teddy bear than it could ever give in return....and what it gives...is unconditional presence. That it is okay...to just be there....and valued for the gift of presence. I hug my boys like teddy bears each morning...admiring them and snuggling into their warmth. I don't care what attitude they may be having (one is not quite a "morning" person), or what agenda they have for the day....or what they got done or get done. That is not their value or significance for me. It's in that infinite moment where we connect in a space of love and just glow...from one another's presence
