The release of survival
We made it.
We trudged through the days and peril.
We experienced the disheartening and disappointment.
The pushback and dashed dreams didn’t succeed in choking us out.
We allowed the rise of elation even if just for a moment.
We were swept off our feet in moments we wished would last forever.
And yet the wonder and thrill of the victory lost its flavour and got washed out by lukewarm expectations disguised as celebrations.
The laundry list of degradation laid out before you like its supposed to be a savoury and tantalizing experience.
Don’t feel scoffed when I throw back the rotten smelling entree and only allow the dance of continued palette satisfying sensations to be united with my being.
That I commit and recommit to the romancing of my dreams and desires because I know God gave them to me to experience and share… like fine wine and salt as merchants on the ancient trade routes. Travelling far to procure the finest of what life has to offer.
That part.
What God is offering brings us the gift of fullness. Doesn’t settle for mediocrity or I can’ts. Doesn’t undervalue and dismiss. Doesn’t use our failed works as our definitions.
Try again.
Love so hard that every obstacle and difficulty is worth overcoming to the point of ease.
Use the comparison to show you you can. Borrow somebody else’s work. We give roses like we created them. Share the gifts of God to encourage others.
Set your milestones.
In living colours.
In felt and breathed ecstacy.
Your child’s found love.
The graduations.
Apologies received.
Growth embraced.
Beauty savoured.
And limitations laid down as fertilizer.
Embrace living and loving in fullness.
My life is filled with predecessors of this truth that the gasp of beholdment didn’t miss.
Their lives continue to echo that nothing should get in the way of expressing the fullness of love possible to be felt to overflowing.
It’s time for overflow.
