Fragrances really hurt
Since I was paralyzed as a teenager from the exposure to what I called "cheap" perfume, I have been an advocate for the use of natural fragrances or none at all. I have since encountered many people who have similar reactions to fragrance and even noticed that scents I used to used were altered and I could no longer bear exposure to them. Many companies have switched out natural fragrances sources and chose to replace them with synthetic counterparts that "smell" the same.
I had a discussion recently with a friend saying I should show up in public meetings with a gas mask on and as I was looking into more information regarding fragrances, I came across this website.

Of course I had to laugh when I first saw the picture of the lady with the mask on, as it was a coincidence that I came across the photo and then it made me sad. There is nothing I can take to prevent the effect that synthetic fragrances have on me, and better yet everyone is at risk regardless of how their bodies react to the toxins or not. So I will continue to strive for healthy air to breathe and not with only myself in mind.
