Do you have a hard time believing in YOU? Check your influences

 Good morning!

There is this kid I know...he is pure radiance and free in his nature. He approaches with head-tilted curiosity and has some of the best ideas and statements. This child I fully celebrate and we love his family too. He's not challenged by the thoughts of whether or not he believes in himself....yet....and I hope, that he will keep that with the help of the positive and nurturing influences in his life ❤
And even though I was a child of head-tilted curiosity, my influence was in contrast to my dear little friend. There was such a cyclone of discouragement and disbelief that I got swept up in on a daily basis that I often marvel of the person that I am today. Encouraging, playful, and yes, still feeling the weight of a lack of belief in my life.
Sometimes people come into our lives for whatever reason, but when they leave a mark from the efforts to break you down....discredit you....shame you amongst peers....isolate you and single you out....sometimes it can feel like that mark will never leave....like you have been "labelled" and it seems to come at you over and over again....
I'm not here for more of that, thank you. I believe in others, I celebrate others and I do believe (somewhere within me) that I am deserving of the same. I want to believe in me...and better yet, regardless of if others do or not, I truly GET to believe in me.
And I ask those who read this a favour....truly check, within your "heart of hearts", do you? DO you believe in the fullness of the good that is within those around you? Can you see the potential? Can you connect in and see the joy of celebrating their lives? Can you extend the sight of joy, and play, and peace in a vision within your mind for your fellow neighbour or person on the street? Can you? Will you? And for yourself too? Do you have a hard time believing in YOU? Because whether or not others are choosing to do that for and of you...you GET to do it for yourself and others AND no one can stop you 😉 ❤

Tips for adjusting your sleep with time change

 


Time change is THIS WEEKEND!! (For those it applies to)

Our family is ALREADY adjusted this year. Would you like to know the tips on how? 😉
What I used to do is we would take melatonin the night before and go to sleep earlier.... and voila!
But now...
Shifted downtime back an hour about a week in advance. This means that the boys get to enjoy more free time in the morning (for now)....
....and then just getting the last bits of winter sleep in by going to bed earlier and enjoying some extra cozy bed time....now we just get up and get going earlier and fully rested.
Transitioning from one phase or season to the other works great with acceptance and willingness to go through transitions as their OWN season...Our in this case, embracing ALL of the season of Spring as a whole and enjoying it fully 😉

Musings and inspirations from playing sudoku

 Good morning!

Playing sudoku musings….to solve the puzzle and put each piece where it best fits you have to narrow your focus. Choose one thing and then focus on that in that moment. And then move on to the next. Less error is necessary when you choose to use the power of your attention to see where things have a “best” fit. It is okay to put down one thing for a time to pick up another that is more clear in the moment and then to return to your original focus. It helps to make other things more clear along the way.
Forcing clarity...for years I have found myself ebbing in and out of forcing clarity, understanding, and let's be honest, results to “happen”. And I have been shown time and time again that yes, what I focus on expands (“good” or “bad”...there really isn’t a judgment necessary), but also that in choosing a direction to go in also doesn’t mean having to put off the things you love doing and are in the habit of having or doing or being….those will shift, if needed, along the way in there own time. Sometimes it’s in THOSE points of connection that we enjoy, that we find the answers and clarity for the next steps ahead.
We can choose to take the smaller, more focused steps on a daily basis with consistency and see the fruition of success from just applying ourselves to improvement even the 1% level.
Not sure which direction you are heading in? Seek to improve on the basics….personal care and hygiene, fitness and nutrition, home and environment, a more balanced mood and overall attitude of wellness, personal relationships….improving on your foundational experience helps to open up to more clarity in other areas of life.
As I am writing this to share, I am also playing sudoku...almost finished the game. As I proceed toward the process of completion, the puzzle goes faster and faster. At this point, I am meditating on the little insights, like a conversation, and proceeding through the process of playing the game. Don’t forget to connect in with joy each day. Even when things get forceful and tricky, remember, you can always push pause, take a deep breath and even think of joy. Then focus back in on what it is that you need for your next move, and then go from there.
There is a basic understanding to what it is that we are choosing to put our focus in on….what things that are general needed for its proper completion or fruition in our lives. Making sure to understand those FIRST, and then moving forward with those as a compass helps in making choices that move you forward successfully. It helps to ALIGN you with your chosen goal or result OR even just your day to day experience of peace, joy, love, and wellness.
Sometimes the same things we are looking for are to be found in another spot from where we are looking and if we apply it there, it will help to make it more clear how to apply it in our original situation. Similarly, when you have experienced success or fulfillment in one area of life with ease, you can apply what you know there as steps into others areas where you find more “struggle” and uncertainty in. The system may just help to get things moving and open up more clarity for you.
Puzzle complete! Joy in the zero error win, grief in the conversation coming to an end and having enjoyed to the process of unfolding and clarity along the way.

Mindfully applied myself and getting the win in the end

 Good morning!

As I was playing sudoku this morning I was also listening to my language. It was telling me ….sometimes you do not have to try and force things through creating error, you can sit back and observe to see where things can go and adapt from there.
I would have to say, that being impatient and wanting to see results QUICKLY can lead to a lot of messy encounters and experiences, but we can learn from those mistakes.
AND there is also, applying yourself daily to a decided and prescribed plan with consistency and trusting in the process that also yields learning as well as results.
It's possible that one will get you there faster, but is it the faster part that is the result you are after or the success and being able to enjoy it that matters most?
Either way, it may have taken me longer to play the game this morning, but it felt good knowing I mindfully applied myself and still got the win in the end.
