Success

My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and talents.  ~ Mahatma Gandhi

You are not the embodiment of limitations.

 Good mawning!

You are not the embodiment of your limitations.
Hold up... edit... you are not the embodiment of limitations.
You may experience them, but you are not the incarnation of limitations.
Within each person is the gift of radiance, light, love, and life itself.
You are... ☉💖🌱😄
This thought comes to me this morning as I reflected on something that I have allowed to haunt me. Maybe that was the intention. Who knows.
Someone I was connected with, a lovely being, dropped in a phrase of doubt when I least expected it. It made me feel hopeless...as though death and unfulfillment were waiting at my front step. That the burdens and limits that have felt to have muddied my life was beyond the possibility of return and I was doomed under their weight.
AND...
I am grateful in this moment for that experience. That having lived under so much disbelief from otgers in my life, caused a deep dive into what I believe for myself.
And you know what I unpacked and discovered?
That, NO MATTER WHAT I am feeling or going through...highs or lows... stuck or in flow... I ALWAYS move with impact and inspiration. 💖
IMPACT AND INSPIRATION!
And not just any impact... the catalyst kind. The change-maker kind. The positive growth kind.
And it's not just me.
It's ALL of us. We ARE #greaterstill at every moment of our day. We pulse with the power of possibility, influence, and creation. And as much as it is up to us how much we shine bright in this life, it isn't at the same time.
Mmmm... our radiance is always ☉...our potential is always present...and we are fully capable, even if we don't necessarily know how or what...
Stay open to YOUR fullness. Our reach is beyond the containers we perceive.

The 'behind the scenes' of "improvement"...ASK!

 Good mawning!

Is sharing the journey more considered improvement?
I've seen a lot of ' behind the scenes' stuff over my lifetime. Stuff that often doesn't make it to the "stage" of displaying it to the world.
Much of what is not seen by others is the daily, consistent, and inspired work done by an artist, a writer, a craftsman, a landscaper, a grandmother, a single or co-parenting mom to improve their relationships, allow for personal self-expression, make healthier choices, allow the art to flow through, allow themselves to show up in THEIR life.
I don't assume that because of what I get to see or even possibly EXPECT to see is the whole picture or journey of one's life.
I prefer to ask what they are personally working on improving, and then follow them in their process.
Now granted, some metrics are much easier to track the process... weight and fat loss, body aesthetics, consistency, miles on foot, places and spaces travelled, dollars earned and invested, knowledge on a particular subject...
But if you want to be tracking improvements that are not your own, ask the person personally what it is they are working on growing in and if they will share the process and journey with you.

Gratitude IS an act of love. Finding a way to express it

 Good mawning!

It's been a busy morning filled with love, celebration, connection, and care.
From quiet time receiving divine guidance to inspired and fruitful action...to brushing out the afro of one of my Princes...to enjoying the clean glow of a scrubbed kitchen in the sunlight and sitting back and reflecting on the constant evolution of a connection I have in my life.
But one word I forgot to mention, but carries great significance is... gratitude.
Gratitude IS an act of love.
As I reflect on what I am grateful for, the first thing that comes to mind is the beautiful relationships I've had and continue to enjoy today.
This deodorant isn't just signalling aspects of my morning, I am grateful for what it is sharing for me today.
I FOUND A WAY!
To not harm someone who I valued in my life, I went through my home over 20 years ago and gathered everything scented. I put it all in a Rubbermaid bin, put that in the garage and told her she is WELCOME in my space whenever she likes.
That act served me in remembering and recognizing my own needs... and now, I enjoy finding natural ways to enjoy the aromas of nature.
Inspired action. Serves beyond ourselves. Serves longer than instant or reactive gratification.
So now to finish my tea and head out. Mmmm...it's a really good tea. 💖

Turning ordinary into the "extra". Adding more rituals into my routines.

 Good mawning!

Turning ordinary into the "extra".

Yesterday we made a date out of it.

Simple run to the store turned into basking in the sun with drinks and decadent treats while being in simple conversation.

I've been on a journey of reclamation over the last several months. Adding more rituals into my routines. Adding more meaning and mojo into my moments.

I no longer wanted to just show up, do a thing/learn a thing/represent a thing and not have that moment count in my memories or even worse, not felt in MY experience.

Barely feeling the significance or even forgetting I did a thing to begin with. Going into my next day as though it would be the same lifeless void of non-remembering as the day before.

Each moment is meant for my fuller experience of it and to even enhance those that will follow. So WHY NOT bring more LIFE into it?

This is why gratitude is important. This is why celebrating the little things each day matter. This is why simple and consistent brings confidence in our being. This is why harvesting the good and using it for your growth and elevated experiences makes a difference.

Even brushing my teeth has returned to a space of ritualled nourishing and care.

Love your moments lived.

Even if it's sitting in the grocery store parking lot or your driveway reclined in the sun.

Make it special. 😍 You're worth it.

The power of enthuasiam

We have to power and agency to add a charge into in the process of whatever we are doing and set our focus on.

Choosing and USING en-thusiasm (a.k.a. inspired by God, going for the "O"), brings things into right relationship, alignment, joy, effortlessness, and flow... instead of things being charged for a direction we don't want to head into.
Consider connecting with the state of enthusiasm first before setting your focus on a thing...or shifting it to that state if you find yourself "off path".

"Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
