Power of ponder

Good Mawning!!

Power of ponder

A friend posted a paraphrase …”Thinking is the hardest thing that people never do…” and oddly enough, it always makes me think when I hear or see this phrase.

Today, I decided to sink into the “why” from another perspective… How would “I” feel if I avoided thought and thinking and just buried myself in doing and distraction?

Well, first of all…from my current experience, I HATED not having an answer. This entire statement comes out of social “trauma” moments including a more “recent” attempt at “humiliating” me done by a “grown” man teaching a group (that was a full circle moment I will share about another time).

So I can only imagine, if someone was asked to think about something and not have a quick response or “knowing” about it like how our society often expects, then I can understand why people “opt out” of “thinking” in depth at all….it’s not safe. Expression and perspective gets cut off or shamed … I’d leave that whole “mess” alone too.

So what can “WE” do to change this?

How can “WE” foster more thought and personal perspective being expressed in the lives of those around us?

  1. Establish a safe space for being IN the process of thoughts and thinking. Also keeping in mind, a lot of the thoughts that people are “alone” with might not be friendly, nurturing, encouraging, OR kind. What is the tone and language that many of these “thoughts” present as for people?

What I have learned from my own journey of transforming the critical language in my head into a team player is… there is a process through which thoughts and thinking should be guided through, much like harnessing electricity toward powering a lightbulb.

  1. Start with exposure to safe and kind thinking and thoughts through reading and listening, and then when a safe example exists, a new filter can be applied to sort through the bubbles of thought that float by…and compassion can be applied to the rest.

  2. Knowing that your UNIQUE perspective of and to the world is NEEDED and valued, and worthy of being heard. You ARE a necessary piece to this puzzle and big picture we are all a part of. You hold an answer and solution within and through YOU that someone out there is seeking for THEIR problem.

  3. And just by you BEING you and ALLOWING yourself to “think” through your unique lens of perspective, makes it possible for that solution to be expressed and shared as a contribution into this world.

  4. And last but not least…know that you have PERMISSION to share your viewpoint, words, and thoughts out into the world. Yes, there are some “expressions” out there that are loud, suppressive, and intended for harm. They may have missed the steps listed above. And that is THEIR choice to be the “voice” to those things. Your voice however is NOT the same and still deserves to be heard and added to the symphony of life we are living. You are safe, you are supported, you intend for good. … now go and share and connect. We’re ready to see and hear you.  #ThankYouGod #biggerpicture #thinking #agency #safespace #knowthyself #compassion #Kindness #Sawubona #beingyou #unique #contribution #ofgreatvalue #greaterstill #growthmindset #yesyoucan #mentalwellness #expression

The power of your possibilities are always with you

 Good mawning!

The power of your possibilities are always with you

I made plans.

I wanted them to work. And even when things weren’t working in the way that I wanted them to, I said I would come back with renewed strength at a later date.

And the “thing” I was hoping to pick up with was no longer available.

I “missed” the opportunity.

Have you ever felt the “opportunity” slip through your fingers?

Even better, have you ever felt or wished that you had been MORE ready for when the opportunity was in front of you and in your “grasp”?

That window always feels SO small, doesn’t it?

I’ve had “opportunities” I had jumped in with that were NOT what I was hoping on the “other side”... as well, I have missed opportunities that still feel like they are haunting me or “with” me still in some way…sometimes feeling like a taunt to a good thing missed.

But today, after doing a meditation to pull more of myself together in wholeness and loving acceptance, I felt a whisper… and then a surge of energy and “reel” of possibilities flashed before me.

Possibilities that “we” could have been but didn’t venture down the road of…

And then…

I felt the “contribution” of them all. The lessons, the confidence, the worthiness, the deserving, the adventure and wonder, the contribution of character, the power of exercising choice… so much of it and the wealth it has left me…US with.

I say us, because it hasn’t only influenced me, these “opportunities”, and the pondering of them… it has influenced my family and friends as well.

And then, to know that it has shown up for others in their lives….these waves that have gone out…

And as waves go out, they also can return… with more force, more power, more influence…

Your dreams and opportunities are always possible in some form…if you let it.

Let’s celebrate that you are here in this life to live it…. More fully.

Type “POP” in the comments to claim the power of YOUR possibilities.

Family walks are back!

An early #tbt to this past weekend.

Family walks are back!

We definitely hibernated this year LOL, so back at it and CONSISTENTLY to stay ready for hiking going forward.

Staying ready feels good. It's a good habit for us as a family

What do you do to "stay ready" ?

Choosing MY normal.

Choosing MY normal.

This past week has been filled with disruption and wins.
The disruptions were not small ones either. One which carries a bit of cost to fix and has left me not trusting and doubting myself. Bringing up language I had struggled with for years. It left me weeping on and off the whole day.
THAT was not my "norm".
But what I celebrated from it and am grateful for is... I allowed myself to be upset. Sad. And okay with the doubt that was affecting my actions.
MY NORMAL IS....getting back to more consistently experiencing the state and mindset "I" choose to be in.... WHILE having grace and compassion for myself along the way.
I KNOW how I want to think, feel, perceive, and act through my days. And...I know I am human as well. That's why growth and grace MUST be present...because I am here in this life to live it.
What normal do YOU choose to experience, day in day out?
Because you CAN choose. It IS part of the power that you are 💕
