It's a rainbow!
It's so bright and defined you can see the bands on the other side of violet.

A perfect pot of soup...kinda LOL
A perfect pot of soup.... kinda LOL.
Because in all honesty, I knew, after trying to ask "The Chef" to make the curried bisque has not been successful. And I mean MONTHS of asking

So why did I let it go so long without making it myself?
Many reasons...

To encourage him to take pride in his cooking again. He got in a slump. Honestly, depression looks so different in his formula.... and we all experience it. We just don't have to stay in it or fashion a whole wardrobe or identity out of it. It happens. Growth. Stagnation. Boredom. Searching. Frustration. Inspiration...it's all a part of the process of life.
He started claiming "Soup Saturday" after I told him of the family tradition we used to have as I was growing up.
So as each Saturday rolled around, he found comfort in curling up with a bowl of soup at the end of the day.
And don't I DARE cook it on a Friday LOL.

He was inspired and committed again.

And while he's at work, I'm finally sneaking into the kitchen this Saturday and throwing it together.
Tossed in my ingredients...let it boil a bit... went to taste... BITTER LOL ...and spicy too. Forgot a few ingredients
Fixed it...and remembered a few more. At this point, Jesus took the wheel

...

And thank God! Because the taste I had been missing is now in front of me and I am beyond grateful for the patient, persevering, and perfecting process that brought me here.
Let's enjoy the bliss of joy and wonder in things as small a a bowl of soup.
